On October 25th, Blue Sky is holding their 2025 Hike for Kids. Hike for Kids is Blue Sky Fund's annual fall fundraiser that brings over 250 hikers together to hit the trails of one of Richmond’s most popular attractions, the James River Park System, for a 3, 7, or 14 mile hike. Together, we raise funds and awareness of our outdoor education programs. The hike ends with a party at the War Memorial with food, drinks, music, and a virtual auction. Learn more at Blue Sky Fund.

Blue Sky is inviting their RPS partners – teachers, students, and caregivers – to hike along for free. Look for the “Bellevue Dragons” team when you register. The promo code BSFFAMILY offers free registration (100% off) any 2025 Hike for Kids registration ticket, including meal tickets.

Participants choose from a 3, 7, or 14 mile hike and come together on Saturday October 25th at the Virginia War Memorial Amphitheater where the hike starts and ends. Plus, all hikers are welcomed to a fun after-party with live music from The Hot Seats, food from 1115 Mobile Kitchen, and lots of great beverages including a signature beer, the Blue Sky Kölsch, from Väsen Brewing.

Hike Start Times are 9am/11am/12:30pm, depending on route length.The Post-Hike Party is 1:30pm to 4:30pm.

This event helps to raise funds and awareness of Blue Sky's outdoor education programs for Richmond area youth. Their goal this year is to raise $90,000 to support Blue Sky Fund and our mission to connect over 2,000 youth every year to the outdoors.
